Trash Can Cleaning Service—Cleaned, Sanitized and Deodorized at the Curbside

Service Notification

The day before you service, we will provide a courtesy reminder based upon your stated preference (phone call and/or text and/or email). The notification is provided as a courtesy only; therefore, no credit will be given if the cans are not available.  Courtesy reminders are sent via an automated system and O.C. Clean A Can makes no guarantees to the receipt of the courtesy reminder(s). Please notify us if you do not receive your courtesy reminder or if you would like to change or add a courtesy reminder preference.

Customer Responsibilities

It is your responsibility to have your cans out for cleaning on the schedule date of service. The trash cans should be empty. Certain items may compromise the trucks filtration systems. We reserve the right not to provide the trash can cleaning service if there is:

  • Unbagged trash – including loose garbage, yard clippings or animal waste (loose feces or excessive amounts of animal hair)
  • Hazardous waste – including chemicals, paint, glue or other adhesives
  • Building materials – including plaster, stucco, bricks, concrete, glass or excessive amounts of dirt
If you are in a gated community, please ensure we have your current access code or O.C. Clean A Can is authorized on the guard’s list.

Place the trash cans, which you have scheduled for service, at the curbside by 7:00 a.m. on the morning of service; however, if this is not possible they should be easily visible from the street and readily accessible. If the can(s) are not available, do not expect the technician to go behind the gate or knock on your door. Swapping of cans is prohibited; the technicians will only clean the can(s) we have listed for service. You may request additional cans to be cleaned on an as needed basis by contacting our office with your request prior to the date of service. There is a $10 fee per can, per cleaning to add a can onto service for a single month. In addition, there is a $5 surcharge per green yard waste can, per cleaning.

It takes more time and resources to satisfactorily clean a green yard waste container.  A cleaned yard waste container may have grass on the sides of the container. If possible please arrange to have newspapers placed at the bottom of the can to allow us to clean them to a satisfactory level.

To indicate that your cans have been cleaned a technician will place a “Cleaned, Sanitized & Deodorized” sticker on the handle or the top of one of your trash cans scheduled for service. You may remove the sanitized sticker after each cleaning.

Scheduled Service

Initially, your trash cans may require more than one cleaning in order to remove buildup grime. Odor and bacteria are best controlled when your cans are regularly serviced on a monthly basis.

If you want to hold service due to vacation or if for some reason the cans cannot be serviced, please notify us by phone or email before the day of service and we will credit your account. There is a maximum of 3 credits per 12 month period, per service address. No credit will be given unless you notify us prior to 7:00 a.m. the day of service. Our trucks operate very similarly to the trash haulers, if the can(s) are not available for service at the time of arrival, the trucks will continue on their dedicated routes. There is a $10 reschedule fee to have a truck return to your service address after it has already passed your location on the route. It may not be possible to return same day or even at all before the next month’s route occurs for your neighborhood, as it is completely dependent on the current route size, location and availability of trucks (surcharges may apply to special requests – we will do our best to accommodate).

Continuity of  Service

In accordance with you payment choice, the credit or debit card currently on file will be automatically processed at the end of the month prior to your last paid service. We will notify you of any rate change prior to the renewal. Please notify us of any changes to the credit or debit card or if you decide not to continue with the service. There is a $20 cancellation fee if you cancel after the renewal is processed. 

Cancellation of Service

Refunds are not issued for cancellation of service, except for relocation out of our service area. If you relocate to a neighborhood that is not in our service area, you may gift the remaining service to anyone within our service area or request a refund for the remaining service minus a $20.00 cancellation fee. If you are anticipating that you might be moving out of our service area, please give us a call to discuss the possibility of a monthly payment option.

Privacy of Information

Your privacy is important to us. We do not sell or disclose customer information to any third parties. O.C. Clean A Can reserves the right to send you notifications and communications regarding services provided by O.C. Clean A Can.
